Aeterna Studio's ethos is rooted in honouring the past while keeping an eye to the future. Our considered approach to curated style prioritises quality and continuity over novel, fleeting trends. Working internationally, we strive to develop a creative space that honours the beauty and enduring relevance of classic pieces that stand the test of time. Like many who shop second-hand, each piece we choose isn't just a means of self-expression in the present moment – they reflect the core values that guide our lives as we become who we aspire to be.
When sourcing our hand-picked collections, we embrace imperfect items that are well-loved but still have potential. This approach is guided by the Japanese concept of wabisabi. Rather than chasing unattainable perfection, wabisabi emphasises finding beauty in imperfection; it encourages us to appreciate the quiet traces of time an item develops over the years as evidence of a life well-lived. This mindset is both poetic and practical, foregrounding a kind of melancholic beauty that is real and lasting. We see ourselves as temporary custodians in a long line of people who contribute to the longevity of treasured pieces.
We see sustainability as both a responsibility and a privilege – a conscious choice to care for what already exists, and an acknowledgment that not everyone has the means to do so. To clean, repair, restore, and rewear is to participate in a slower, more intentional cycle of consumption, one that honours the labour, materials, and histories embedded in every piece. It’s a quiet form of stewardship: choosing to extend the life of an object rather than replace it, and recognising the privilege of being able to make that choice with intention. We encourage our customers to shop thoughtfully.
All pieces are final sale. We do not accommodate returns or refunds for change of mind. Each item is carefully inspected, measured, photographed and accurately described. As with all preloved items, minor signs of wear may be present. Any significant flaws are fully disclosed. Occasionally, small repairs may be implemented, which will be clearly noted.
If you would like any additional information about an item, please feel free to reach out before purchasing. We’re happy to accommodate reasonable requests for further details to help you shop with confidence.
